A student is
responsible for completing the "Graduation Application"
form prior to, or during the registration period of, the
semester he/she expects to complete all curriculum
graduation requirements. The student should meet with
his/her advisor to determine graduation readiness. The
advisor should review the Graduation Progress Inquiry
(See FACULTY MENU #3 of the UNIX System) with the
student and determine what additional courses the
student needs to graduate. To be eligible for
graduation in an associate degree, diploma, or
certificate program, students must have completed at
least one-fourth of the course requirements specified in
their programs at BCC. The final 12 semester hours must
be completed at Brunswick Community College.
If the student can meet all requirements
at the end of the upcoming semester, the advisor will
sign the “Graduation Application,” and the student will
deliver the form to the Registrar. Students who have
applied for graduation will be notified by a letter from
Student Development and informed of graduation fees and
the time and place to order caps, gowns, etc. The
graduation ceremony is held once a year at the end of
the spring semester.
