Transfer
Admissions Policy |
In
keeping with the mission and goals of Brunswick
Community College, transfer applicants are admitted
under the General Admission Policy. All transfer
applicants are admitted in good standing.
Brunswick Community College does not grant admission
under a provisional or probationary status.
Transfer applicants must submit official transcripts of courses completed
at all institutions of higher education previously
attended, no later than the end of the first semester of
enrollment. Only courses successfully (no grade
below "C") completed at other post-secondary
institutions accredited by a regional accrediting agency
will be accepted in transfer. All courses accepted
in transfer must also be equivalent to required and
elective courses in the programs of study for which the
applicant seeks admission.
Students are awarded advanced standing based on credits acquired through
the Advanced Placement Examination Program,
College-Level Examination Program, Institutional
Proficiency Exams, credit for military courses based on
the American Council on Education (ACE) recommendations,
or Tech Prep Articulation Course Agreements.
Credits are not awarded based on experiential learning.
Exceptions to any part of this policy must be approved
by the Vice President for Instruction.
